It's definitely flat and featureless.
I'd add the insects that are in other maps. And maybe an oasis or two or a dry creek bed. The repeating texture pattern with that little sprig of grass looks kinda fake because it repeats so regularly and kills FPS on my pretty high end system. Can you replace it with a few very large textures of just sand?
I was hoping for a snake or a salamander or something to crawl by.
Other than that, it's a cool map!
New version 1.01 doesn't show up in Editor's list of maps/islands for me.
