I think he made this mod based on his unit and the guys in it. From an official viewpoint the patches and some of the gear is different, but on an unofficial note he may also have modified things like gloves, eyewear, positioning of pouches and such based on what his friends in the unit have, such as those tan gloves with the black accents.
