Very nice. Please don't give them L85's (SA80's to use the common, if incorrect term) as the SAS/SBS don't use them (they have more sense and the luxury of selecting their own kit). They use the Diemarco L119A1 (or C8 in Canada) with the HK AG-C/L17A1 40mm grenade launcher. They also favour the ACOG sight system. In fact rumour is very strong that the entire British army will switch to the Diemarco weapon system within the next few years, finaly junking the L85 series.
Since the SA80 received its latest update, with the ACOG and DD Rail there have been a number of pictures of UKSF with the L85 rather than the C8SFW. Although, they were also wearing multicam so maybe the freedom of selection went to their heads :p
IMO the SA80 has the magic combo of being small but with a very long barrel, yes, when it was selected as the primary weapon for us Brits there may have been better weapons on the market but now its up there with the best.
we use the l98a2 in cadets aswell as the LSW-light support weapon they are a good rifle just a replica of the sa80 or the l85a2 the lsw is a good bit of kit a bit on the heavy side when you carrying it out on patrol but thats ok. The SA80 comes standard with the (SUSAT-Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux) its a good scope 4x zoom different from the acog, i like the susat as it looks fitting on the weapon :D We also use the weapon with out the susat just the iron sights.
