I can see the logic of using tools like the Updater, but it is a convoluted process. Looking at the videos, uploading the mod is more of a chore than installing the game. ACE is interesting, but I fear a good mod will be lost to many because of an unfriendly installation and update process.
Good job A.C.E team, it looks fantastic but there is only one problem, me and all my friends have no idea how to install this mod like lots of other people, because the videos below make no sense at all! It looks great and all but its such a shame that not many people could use it. So i guess a i was hoping the someone could make a SIMPLE step by step video on how to install this mod and how to install ACE extras mod, and how to install and use the ACE updater thingie (not like the videos below!) I install all my mods using the modfolder method and they work perfectly but this mod doesn't work, do i have have to use a different method or some thing? So could someone please create a SIMPLE step by step video on all the things to help get this mod working for lots of people like me!
Yes epic install (Why not simple Installer?) But I am still installing (I only wanted core but the Installer in the Biki FAQ uses this one, and it's wants me to have the Extras :con
But I played with it abit with my failed Modfolders Install
Great job A.C.E mod team, very well done as i can say this as i have play the mod and it is fantastic, although there needs to be a lot more work to be done but overall its really good! The reason i couldn't get it working for those people like me I didn't know that I had to download the Rsync Updater first from http://dev-heaven.net/projects/list_files/six-arma-updater then go on to watch the video and follow the steps from http://dev-heaven.net/wiki/six-arma-updater/Quickstartand it works out fine! Hope this helped out any other people that got stuck like me :8)
Yeah same with me Mazza35 but i didn't know I was installing ACE extras till after it kept on downloading past the 4 hour mark, and at the end of it said i had download 524mb then i had realized i had download the extras pack but it was well worth it, but some of the vehicles that where made from scratch still needed more work to be done to them but over all 9/10!
Mine failed, I have just wasted half the day following one of the worst installs ever.... IT STARTED TO DOWNLOAD VOP SOUND EVEN THOUGHT IT WAS ALREADY THERE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Wow dam that must have hurt, yeah they should make it much more simpler put every thing all in one and when you go to update your mod they should make one or two clicks of the mouse to update the mod instead of going through all the crap that usually take 5 mins
Okay It works (yay) I canceled the install when it got up to VOP (Coz I like it) But it works great, and VOP is crap compared to these sounds, and... a 20mm ROUND SNIPER WTF,It makes small explosion

I just tried it when it came out today, it's just wonderful! The nuke isn't as good as the scud launcher, sadly.
It still needs some work, but it's awesome where it is right now.

Whenever i start it up it comes up with an error:
"Include file userconfig\ace\ace_clientside_config.hpp not found."
