Awesome bro, I'm up'ing to our server now...
Would like to see some 50 player maps, we currently use 50 player AAS map and we always have a full server with ppl knockin on the door... even 64 player
Yeah until I can see how it runs at 32, im hesitant to put the player count at 50. If I can ever see the map played at full capacity, and can observe how its running and being played, I can make a decision whether or not to up the player count.
Bigger isnt always better. I just dont want the thing to run poorly. Most of the 50 player maps ive seen, suffer from massive lag spikes, warping, rubberbanding, and just Sync issues in general. People still play em, but i dont care for it personally.
Like I said though, if 32 runs well, and the map feels like it can handle more, I may add more in the future.
'OGN@RC Australia Public' just filter OGN and it'll be the only one....
This last week has seen our current ISP playing vengeful, we are moving to a new provider soon and our current ISP has dropped us to 7mb... thats meant for 20+ servers O.o our ArmA server is the only one running atm.
ANYway it means our server is not being seen by everybody, our head admin gets a 2000 ping and same with some of the other boys
Tonight was Friday night and we only got 20-25 players from are usual 40-50 so we're guessing either ping is keeping ppl away or they just can't see us (we're pretty pissed at our provider)
Drop in to our forums if you like (if there still up lol) and say g'day
Sunday night is another big night for us (hopefully) so its a good time to drop in if your keen, we'll run some of ya missions
