missions works great, but at the end, after everybody boarded the chopper, it just sat there and didn't take off. the pilot shut it off and it just sat there until i quit. no biggie since the mission is already over though. two guys died, so maybe it was waiting for them?
Super mission! I played it in SpecOp mode and it was great experience. I preffered one-man rather then team-based mission, so I greatly enjoyed this one. ThX very much Wiper.

When i start this mission and read briefing, i was about to quit it right a way, but i decide to give it a shot, and dammit it worth it i really like this mission, how it’s changing stuff with each restart, and you can experience new thing with same mission, and personally i to try my self alone in the field, it’s kind of put you very close in game, but man don’t get me wrong, but this is international game, a lot of people from all over the place play it, that briefing explanation would be realistic and less nonsense in a way to make fun of Russians, since it’s a combat simulation and people who make this game targeting realistic from the beginning, i really can right something like this in my mission for Russians: "Hi guys, i know it’s a tough days and you tired from the last mission, but One of American Generals just went crazy and nuts, so he killed president took a nuclear suitcase and about to push this buttons’, since American solders afraid their won generals we have to step in and assonate this guy...", since i`m not doing it to more inelegant and less selfish, would you mind to do same

great you like the mission but I'm sorry to hear that some aspects of the writings seem to annoy you.
I'am neither biased to one faction or side in the game nor to any political, social or racial group in any way. The only reasons I decided to play (or design to play) the BLUEFOR side was that I prefer some aspects of western gear (particularly the default sounds in the game) and most importantly that I don't understand a single word of the OPFOR side (although I'd like to as I like to hear the language and speech very much). So yes the hole mission "story" can be just side swapped and I could live with much in the same way, as you already wrote (if I understood correctly).
I even think just BECAUSE I do not see ANY differences and am NOT biased to one side I maybe have overseen some aspects in the writings that in turn might be seen as biased by others, who actually are ?
If this is the case I apologize for that and I will try to even out respective text passages in a future update.

Most of the writings simply unfolded while designing the mission and just came from the fact that I had to work around some of the shortcomings of the game itself.
For example see the explanation of the general placed mostly in stables and such: Its a fact that the Chernaurus map has loads of barns, stables and the like, much more than any other buildings with indoor positions (i.e. BuildingPos). Because of this the random place generator *very much* favors those positions. But that on the other hand does not really fit in the story of "a captured high tech module" at all, does it ?
So I tried to put this in the briefing as a "most plausible" info for player in a humoristc way, and I still dont see any other way for that particular issue, for example.
I already plan to rewrite some parts of the briefing anyway, so any specific wishes you may have are always welcome. Please feel free to post it here or on the BIS board thread for this mission. That might help me out a lot to find what really needs to be be improved in the briefing. I'm not a natively english speaker too so maybe some wordings are easily misunderstood by others who are in the same situation.

Thanks for reply and honest answer, like I sad mission it self is very nice and toke a lot of effort from you to build such complex and randomize situations, part i was talking about is notes/overview, i mean let’s talk about real situation like this the only one reason USA force would assonate Russian general even if he went crazy, not because of short in sober power, it’s already sound insulting, but fast way to cut all not necessary consequence, let’s say he start to kill civil people for not supporting him, and let’s say USA marines already was there, but Russian reinforcement was 2 days away, USA marines was authorized to assonate one of Russian high command to prevent carnage... It’s sound more realistic and less put sides in front USA and Russia. You do undersdend non war sides would say they are week or not cappable. You know how thing are in real life you say one suck others good, one start trowing stones in you, you say others suck one is good, other start to throw thing in you. About mission inprovment, hmm me personaly would size TaskForce to probably 6 so you can easy manage them in combat, when it`s 8 you getting headache, and probably ability to play night, let`s say you can chouse when you been droped in the begining of the mission... but it`s my thoughts, even with out them mission is greate!
This is one of my favorites that I keep coming back to time and time again. Look forward to your next mission with much anticipation. Dynamic missions like this are going to keep ARMA 2 alive for years to come - GREAT WORK.
Yeah I think Kolotai is right, the story can sound quite insulting to Russian players. To fix that, you wouldn't have to chance anything in the mission, just change a few lines in the briefing. Maybe you could say "the Russians have asked us to do this because they can't let OMON do it due to political reasons" instead of implying that even Russian special forces are always drunk and unable to fight.
A nice tweak would be to actually play Russian special forces (either the guys with the dark vest and helmet or using Binkowski's OMON that look pretty good), of course then with eastern and not western equipment. This would make the story a bit more realistic, since the Russian would deal with a rogue general themselves under all circumstances. That would mean more work though because you would have to maintain more versions, but I think a lot of people would like that. Not everyone in the world insists on playing US forces.
Of course someone else could do those (easy) changes, but I think it is better to place that in your hands, so you can maintain it properly and keep fixing any bugs that may pop up in the future.
Another welcome tweak would also be a different means of transport other that the motorbike. A car (brown hilux maybe?) would have a bit more cargo for ammo and also would be easier to drive^^
Very nice mission, what I like the most is its completely different every time you play it. One mission the enemy had the castle so it was a kinda hamburger hill scenario with me being the GI's going up the hill. Nice hunting in the woods.

Actual version is v1.21 plus it got some tougher AI too

Good mission dude, I liked playing it and my last go had me in a valley and I felt like I was under supression, lots of fun to get out of that mess!
Two things, for some reason ver 1.40 download page has only ver 1.39 file?
And i have the 1.39 version, when i go to play it, i get an error saying No entry "bin\config.bin/cfgworlds.39"
