@EliteF22 - no mate center fuel tanlk will stay where it is, plus in real life even if droped that pylon is not used for weapons so no real gain if done. Also it konda looks better with it. I will look in to fuel tank function in general bit latter when i will be done with HUD and textures.
just a quick question, whenever I press A on my keyboard when im in the F/A-18 it shoots flares. its pretty annoying becouse i also use A to roll left with the plane. is there any possibility to change the key? thanks for your help
@lefty - as far as I am aware then issue you described is mainly your keybord controls setup. By default in ARMA 2 "R" is mapped as a key for countermeasures. Please check your control settins to make sure there are no conflicts with key binding. If ussue still persists let me know. BTW you are not usin ACE - config is not yet compatible.

Pilots from Task Force Black Jack, Gryphon Company have been helping me out on testing this bird in MP and advising on flight model. Here is a small video made by PFC J. Cline demostrating some of coming features. F/A-18 E/F DEMO VIDEO BY PFC J.CLINE
John_Spartan, great work on this model. If you make Afterburner set to standard ACE, it will default as Capslock (as you indicated)...then we as users can change it for what ever we like.
We are currently using your.8 beta with all A/G loadouts for Monday/Wednesday night operations in Task Force Blackjack. We're running ACE, but the Mavericks still lock on to targets and we just use the GBU12 as a FreeFall, UNGUIDED bomb...for now! We're very excited to test the ACE version when it is finished. We're one week into a Co-op Campaign on Taviana Island. Naturally, we launched operations on the Nimitz, and the first two targets (Radar Facilities) were struck simultaneously by your F/A-18E aircraft.
So, when will we see Pre-Ace beta .9 for testing???

OK i have to let this out I love this jet and everything to do with it your doing an amazing job and putting alot of hard work into the project. but there is a huge problem that bothers me every time i see it on a mod. look at the elevators when rolling, they are turning the WRONG WAY!!!! if i was to roll right the elevators move as if i was to be rolling left, im nothing but a pilot in this game and it is very tuff to see a jet this good ruined by such a small detail. otherwise great job and keep it up im looking forward to your next update
@AC1GARRETT, I have good news for you mate. There is a 0.91 update out there and it comes in two versions – one for vanilla ARMA 2 CO and other for ACE mod compatibility. The issue you mentioned was spotted and fixed already. Please see the download links below for version 0.91. Please consider this is still a beta so not all full functionality is archived yet. Also please don’t mirror these links since next update is coming within a week, max two.
There is not yet fully updated readme/manual with this version, but some of important things:
LOADOUTS, there is six of them for each plane. Use GUI service menu action to choose your desired one. Also aircraft needs to be parked near certain objects (hangars, reammo trucks, or on Nimitz deck) and with engine off to gain access to this option.
To load custom weapons load outs on mission startup in aircraft init field in editor put following lines:
For those who wish to play ACE version to use afterburner please map your “segullfastforward” key to your desired one to gain access to actions shortcut key. See the ilustration here how to set it up.

Maybe the LOD distances could be adjusted a little. It's strange to be standing 50 ft. away from the aircraft and looking at its low poly model.
