My friend and I are still playing this and it's very very well done indeed. Can we expect future installments? Would it be possible to used the zombie models from "The Undead Mod" for the next one? (Not that the exisiting zombies aren't good, it'd just be scarier with the others.) Music is Carpenter-esque and really adds to the game. The zombie growls are a great gameplay mechanic, allowing you to know when you're being followed. It may be worth trying to add footstep sound effects to the zombies as well, so you know how close they are (not sure if that's possible).
My friend and I completed this masterpiece after many attempts, a lot of trial and error and lot of luck. No saves was a brilliant idea and really made us work for the win. The mission is flawless and very hard for 2 players. We had to exploit a couple of bugs (zombies won't walk through windows, and get stuck on stairs if you stand on the floor above in a certain position). The ending of the mission is one of the most sublime pieces of Op Flash / ArmA / ArmA2 gameplay I have ever seen. See my youtube channel (www.youtube.com/neddle69) for my opinions on night missions (I hate them with a passion), however, towards the end of this mission the night itself becomes the enemy. I am sure Celery has put a huge amount of effort into this mission and I just want him to know that it was very much worth it and we CAN'T WAIT for Part 2. I will be editing a series of movies of our time with this mission for my channel and I am sure that the people who enjoy those movies will come and download the mission immediately.
Nice scenario but realy hard, cause i'm playing it with my friend. For 2 players it's nearly impossibly (e.g. limited ammo). So could you make version "save-able" for SP or 2 players? Or just say how to do that? By the way zombies looks like specnaz soldiers after hard training beacuse they run so fast, they can hit you from 3 meters (when they climb up the ladder to!). Zombies in your mod are pretty wise, they know all modern tactics how to avoid bullets and stay alive. Or just they really wanna eat my brain... It's sometimes funny ;)
Well done man, it was one of the best co-op experience I've had, and I haven't even manage to complete it so far. Played it with a friend on LAN, got as far as the control tower before the hoard overran us when we were out of ammo, but some of the bits are just classic zombie moment, like the crashed car, we were so excited to find it only to realize it has practically no fuel.
Hi, really cool mod but me and my friends are having a problem:
*** SPOILER ***
When picking up the photo in krashnostav about 500 zombies (NOT EVEN KIDDING) spawns and starts hunting us. My FPS goes from steady 70-80 to around 10, that's how many that spawns. Basically we move over to the supermarket, kill all zombies, stabilize, and move up to the house with the photo killing our way there. First time we tried to stay in the house and kill all zombies. I had an RPK with 400 rounds, and I prolly killed about 200 zombies before we got overrun and died, and looking out the window of the house while dying revealed at least 200 more outside spread all over the city trying to get into the house. The second time we made it there we just instantly ran away thinking we could outrun them, we spent about 30 minutes running in circles trying to loose them. Then we run up the mountain for the next objective but all that was there was that jeep with not enough ammo in it to kill the horde of zombies, and not enough fuel to get away. So after another 15 minutes of trying to set up a satchel charge to blow them all up my friend died over in krasnostav with most (90% ie prolly 400 zombies) on him, at which point we thought that if he respawned on me we only would have to deal with the 40 on me, but no, after a couple of minutes the horde that was in krashnostav made it to the hill, even tho we would've been far away out of range for them to agro on us by then.
kinda a TLDR lol but yea does any have any idea what we can do? Is this a bug or is it meant to happen like this? Or are we just missing something? It's a really cool mod and I would love to be able to play it out.
This is an amazing scenario. The fact that you created this without the use of any mods at all says a lot. Very well done, very fun.
Definitely worth checking out everyone. I recommend a group of 3 or more though, it's pretty tough.
Love it!
Hope to see lots more scenarios like this ;)
realy nice scenario. tried with few guys with ace n acre. Works!
Hope to see more parts of this^^

Very nice mission!
Keep updating and keep them coming :)
Good job.
