Thanks for this, this mission rocks! I just quickly delved into it via single player and only had enough time to clear two villages, but it was awesome. I like it a lot so far; the AI and everything just feels right. Scout the villages out, develop a COA and pounce! Rearm and do it again. Can't wait to go through this more thoroughly later with a friend. Again, Outstanding!
Thank you, glad you are enjoying the mission! I notice now that gear saving at ammo boxes is not working yet, hope that is not to much of a nuisance (I will fix that). For the moment you can retake your gear from your previous dead body.
Something broke with version: 1.1:
Also, add flocks of sheep with a shepherd or two in random spots such as along the road etc., for nostalgic reasons. Nonetheless, this is one the greatest missions I've played!
Disregard, I added Takistan to the file name and it's good to go now.
"Co06 Call to Glory Reloaded (1.1).Takistan.pbo" works and "Co06 Call to Glory Reloaded (1.1).pbo" doesn't, as per your comment above.
Yeah sorry about that. After renaming the pbo I forgot to place the Island name back in the bpo name.
I will definitely add some more decorations to the mission. It already has some animals in it to increase the immersion so a shepherd is no probs to add. Though, don't want to overdo it and make the mission laggy with to much non essential stuff :)
Still enjoying this mission, but I play slow (spent the night at an OP before I made my move on the first village) so I still haven't gone past the fourth village. Here's some gameplay of your mission: http://youtu.be/6-sPzZ5VP8M
Nice vid mate. You lost some of your men pretty quickly :)
The first village you used good overwatch positions, the second village you didn't and got pawned right away lol.
Driving the SOV in a hostile village is not a good idea :P
I see in your vid that I forgot to lock the support vehicles, I might have to change that with the next update, it's a bit to easy if you can drive in an med-stryker, though launcher militia men have no problem with armored vehicles.
If you play it single player you might want to play it in 'multiplayer modus', your AI team will then respawn if they get killed!
I will add your vid to the mission page on the BIS forum. Thanks for sharing! :)
The first time I played the second village I set up an OP on the first hill to the right and sent half my squad to the hill on the other side of the village. Once they were set I gave the command to open fire and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. However, for the video I thought it'd be more exciting to come in through the center (letting the AI gunner go nuts w/the Mark 19) and it did get pretty exciting. But yeah, I got ate up pretty bad then stole the bird and those two Strykers.
I'm going to try it in multiplayer mode the next time I play. And I just subscribed to your topic in the BIS forums.
Sorry for the spoiler but what do you do when the uhm "lofty surprises" turn up? I think I killed everyone in that village but the "surprises" just eat me alive, I'm not sure what to do. This is an awesome mission too Bootsy, just need alittle guidance.
I'd post this on the BI forums but it keeps timing out.
Glad you are enjoying it :)
When you encounter the surprises you need to change strategy. Either hideout, take the surprise out, or move on with more stealth. A part of the surprise I usually try to take out with a sniper rifle(if they are not moving to much), the other part is very hard to take out with normal gear so that is more a matter of trying to avoid it and staying undetected. Motorized transport is a magnet for the surprises, driving around openly on roads you have a high chance getting in trouble. Sometimes you can get lucky with the surprises, the AI can make pathing mistakes and destroy them selfs accidently.
Was playing this the other night with a few friends and a few other people jumped in, it was awesome! Hey, what's the major differences between this and your other Call to Glory's? I've started them up and they appear different, but I always play this one.

Thanks for the feedback!
Version 1.1 is ready!
Fixed all issues reported to me and added and tweaked a bunch of things.
Please note:
The new PBO misses ".takistan" at the end of the name. Please add it to the pbo file otherwise it will not show up in the game list!
